Inspiring change, Shaping history
At Stradivarius, we commemorate Pride month through various initiatives such as exhibitions, workshops and talks. Through the ‘Inspiring change, Shaping history’ initiative, we celebrate the diversity of the LGTBIQ+ community and promote safe and inclusive spaces for all.
At our headquarters and logistics centre, we have created exhibition spaces to showcase the stories of leading LGTBIQ+ people around the world. People who have actively contributed to building a legacy of human rights and giving visibility to their communities. Names that inspire us, such as Harvey Milk, Bayard Rustin, Nancy Cárdenas, Alice Nkom, Lili Elbe, Alan Turing, Marsha P. Johnson or Pedro Zerolo, among others, whose achievements, challenges and the impact of their work on society invite us to reflect and promote empathy towards others.
In addition, through the participation of members of the LGTBIQ+ community and allies in talks and events, we encourage dialogue and promote awareness. On the occasion of Pride 2024, we had the pleasure of having Valeria Vegas, journalist and writer, at our headquarters, who spoke to us about her references, how she supports the community through her literary and audiovisual work, the challenges we face today and the importance of respect as a key to building a more egalitarian society committed to people.
